Here’s a little of the Red Carpet as so many friends came out in support of this project. Among those in attendance: Oprah, Angela Bassett, Susan L. Taylor, Terence Howard, Jeff Majors, Bebe Winans among others. As well as brief glimpse at the museum within the school which houses many of Miss Tyson’s treasures.

The legendary Miss Cicely Tyson was in town to open her The Cicely L. Tyson School of Performing and Fine Arts in East Orange, New Jersey and Corynne Corbett from ThatBlackGirlSite.com chatted with her about the school and the legacy she’d like to leave for the students there.

Capitol records artist, Priscilla Renea (whose CD “Jukebox” drops December 1st), was out at the Blogalicious Brunch where she sang two of her songs. Here’s bit of her song “Worker Bee” as well as my quick interview with her about her style and her music.
