The first person I met yesterday when I got to the Black Enterprise Entrepreneur’s Conference in Detroit was 11-year-old Dasia Dawson and her parents. Truthfully, I kind of inserted myself into the conversation when the person next to me was examining Dasia’s line of charm bracelets and necklaces. In a word, this young sister has a better (and more affordable) alternative to Juicy Couture. The bonus: the jewelry has a message of self-empowerment (and comes with lip gloss refills)! I snapped up the Gold Lip Gloss Charm Necklace ($22) as a possible gift for my niece but I may keep it for myself. Too cute!
