Whoopi Goldberg may not have been successful in bringing a revival of “For Colored Girls” to Broadway but another one of her pet projects just opened on London’s West End. “Sister Act: The Musical” had a press preview and many think it is a hit (basically it’s predictable but highly entertaining). Good for Whoopi! This is also good new for Patina Miller, the sister who was chosen to play Delores the lounge singer (the role Whoopi originated in the 1992 film) who is blowing folks out of their seats. Carrie Dunn’s review on broadway.com says she is worth the price of admission alone. Here’s hoping that have a long, profitable run and bring the whole thing over to US shore soon.
