Sherri Shepherd Should Get Fired Or Leave The View

Barbara Walters only has herself to blame for having Sherri Shepherd seated among the hosts at The View. Now rumor has it that she’d like nothing more than to be rid of her. But although Sherri has distinguished herself as lacking in both common sense and book smarts those traits didn’t just become apparent once she signed on the dotted line. This sister was a guest co-hosts dozens of times. But maybe they thought she was highly qualified for the gig, she starred in Who’s Your Caddy and co-starred with Andy Dick in that unmemorable sitcom Less Than Perfect. And this is the stellar resume that beat out the likes of Jacque Reid and a host of qualified candidates. And apparently ABC pays her as much as some of her co-hosts.

The scary thing is the longer she stays on the show, the worse her judgement becomes. She needs a good publicist stat. It was one of those slips of the tongue last month that has gotten on Barbara Walters’ last nerve and now we hear rumblings that Sherri will be out sooner rather than later. I don’t want to take food out of the sister’s mouth but I have got to say that it would be a good idea for her depart the show. Sherri isn’t bringing anything to the table.

I know we can count the number on sisters who have regular gigs on daytime television one hand (maybe two if you count soap operas. ).  This would be one time I would be okay with having one less sister on the small screen. Perhaps her talents would be better suited for another venue. Is she good at stand-up?

    God Bless, Sherri.

I am sorry but I miss Star Jones she had brains and common sense! And it doesnt seem that Whoopi and Sherri combined can make up for the the loss of Star. Barbara needs to get rid of that mini pit bull Elizabeth Hasselbeck she is just whiny and nagging and makes younger women look unexperienced.

There is something to be said about a person being able to admit the truth. How she chooses to deal to deal with her past is up to her and her God. What I look forward to seeing is the day when all realize that they have no right to judge simply because they are not bold enough to be honest.

Simply because you hide your truths doesn’t mean you’re stronger or better. It merely means that you are an excellent illusionist.

I didn’t comment at all about Sherri’s past and her admitted abortions. I do agree that isn’t any of our business. I am not judging her at all but simply pointing out that she is not bringing much to the table or conversation at The View. This is more about intelligence than lifestyle.

I thought the View was designed for a cast of women from different backgrounds bringing a different perspective on life’s situations or etc……. I didn’t know they had to have a PHD on life.

Sherri Shepard was a real downer. It was exciting at first thought when she and Whoopi were slated to be on The View. But once Sherri would say something, it seemed out of place and not to mention TOO neutral. I love that I can look at Whoopi and Joy and agree with what they say and listen to Elisabeth’s conversativitism. It made you see and think of the issue. Barbara would add two cents but it was her show and she had her little spin. But when it was Sherri’s turn, I am left confused and dissapointed. She falls short.

Sherri’s a very cool person with a lot of faults and I like her a little more because she has admitted her past. But The View is somehow way over her head. She’s a smile with short/curly/wigged hair. A big jolly smile that leaves a lot to the imagination.

I think Star should push for her return or have either Tischa (I probably spelled it wrong) Campbell or Sheryl Lee Ralph sit in the middle seat. That’s my opinion.

But as long as Whoopi stays I am. She and Rosie are/were great as moderators.

Look….for the hater that initiated this posting up top….GET A LIFE!!! This is supposed to be a site for Black women where you would in HOPES, UPLIFT them, rather than tear them down…This is sad. You should truly be ashamed of yourselves. So what, Sherri is more “common” than any of her co-hosts. That is what the show is based on; a VARIETY of “VIEW” points. If there were five women sitting up there, although from different ethnicities and backgrounds; yet ALL had the same “TYPE A” personality; that would make for a very DULL show; as ALL of the “VIEWS” would be similar and sound like repetitive “soundbytes”. Having a person that’s “common” and not shy or afraid; but rather owns up to this character trait; rather than put on heirs as so many often do when that little red light comes on the video camera and the tape begins to roll only adds to the shows spontaneity and sass. You said yourself there are a “handful” at best of “sistas” working on daytime (or primetime for that matter) television; why tear this lady down; when you SHOULD BE BULIDING HER UP….just a thought.

I have been a watcher of the view since day one. I have to say that since Star left it really hasn’t been the same. I am all about sisters being on the show but I agree a lot with what you guys are saying about Sherri you have to go. Jokes will only take you so far. I honestly don’t find her to be that funny. I really wish they would bring back Star. Her and Whoopi together would make a great combo and when you add Joy to that mix it would be amazing. Especially against that brain-washed/racist Elisabeth.
