Sheree Whitfield’s Foreclosure and Funny Business

No matter how you slice it, it’s clear that Sheree Whitfield, one of Bravo’s “Housewives of Atlanta” ,had to get out of the fabulous home she pranced around in the first season of the show. But how it went down sounds like the kind of hot mess the show captured week after week (and will be doing again soon).

The house (or should I say mansion) was actually in her husband’s name only and sold for 1.1 million dollars (less than half of the purchase price) last month. Neither Sheree or her ex-husband get a penny. But here’s where the funny business begins according to a AJC blog .

When Aurora Loan Services took over, they offered cash for keys. In other words, they were willing to pay this sister and her family to get out (as long as she left everything in good shape). She turned them down and the house was gutted soon after (stripped of about
$200K worth of stuff). Sheesh.

Whitfield is pointing the finger at a ‘business consultant’ and acquaintance named Sheila Rashad who supposedly conned her into believing she could help her keep the house then stole the fixtures, furniture and appliances with the help of her husband. But Rashad is saying that she actually was trying to help Sheree leave her home with  a measure of dignity. (Obviously that failed miserably). And the she said/she said accusations go on from there.

Who is telling the truth? Frankly it doesn’t matter. All I can say is that when black folks act extra bourgie and still behave badly it just shows that money (or acting like you have money) won’t ever make you truly rich.

I do not know why black people (women especially) feel when they have money(a little or alot) they have to act as if they are better than. We put up a front and it makes us look unappreciative and down right ignorant

This whole thing was a mess and I don’t understand why people become friends and help destroy one another. My thing is don’t Sheree have something better to report to the website like positive things and not breaking down everyone she meets. She has been blessed to have even seen the money and meet the people she has meet. She is destructive and has no class when it comes to her business. As women we have to fight battles wisly because of children and the respect we have for our selves. Was just mad at this person because SHE (Sheree) lost her house are finding someone to blame for her lack of understanding that your house was forclosed on and after a date given to you by the bank to move is just what it means. So let me explain when they give you that date you have until that date to move if not everything in that house belongs to the bank. So they hire someone to clean and remove all belongs from the house. Who’s ever so lucky to move those things and make your treasures their belonging are theirs now. so stop you crying and make money if you lost those things it was never your to keep. Make new bigger and better treasure and stop crying over spoiled milk. Find class and hononr in you life help someone less blessed in material things than you and you will gain more out of life than drama. chow
