She’s completed three projects that will be released this year and has another already in the pipeline. But this weekend she played the role of enthusiastic viewer as she took in a screening of “A Soundtrack for the Revolution”. This documentary tells the story of the Civil Rights Movement through music which such artists as Harry Belafonte, The Blind Boys of Alabama, Anthony Hamilton, The Roots, and TV On the Radio giving their thoughts and performing. Dee and Davis were on the front lines of the movement so I’m sure seeing an acknowledgment of the struggles that are people endured made her heart sing because we have not forgotten.
