There are some trends that totally make sense, leaving us wondering what unfulfilling alternative we settled for before the masses started clamoring for it. One is these style wonder of the world is undoubtedly the wellie.

We all probably owned a pair as kids, but the rebirth in adult form, has made this one of the most ingenious trends to date. On any given rainy day, streets are flooded with a sea of rubber stripes, polka dots, and solids. All ranging from designer to discounted.

The attractiveness factor is certainly taken care of, but more importantly is durability. The genius of someone to create an accessory that I can intentionally pounce in puddles with and still end up with perfectly dry toes (and pants), has brightened my gloomy days. As silly as it sounds, wellies even make for a cute accessory next to an umbrella stand in a doorway.

So, there will always be rainy days, and when there are, wellies are a must. Hang onto these, it will be hard for them to go out of style.
