Naomi Campbell Gives Up Fashion Week For A Soup Kitchen

Supermodel with an attitude Naomi Campbell has been noticeable absent during NY Fashion Week. Why? Well its time for the tantrum throwing diva to do her community service. According to the The Daily Mirror Campbell served her first stint of her 200 hour community service (after pleading guilty over that whole Healthrow incident) in a East End London soup kitchen that serves and houses the homeless.

Admirable? I’m not so sure. First the diva was 10 minutes late because her limo driver got lost. But then she was assigned to work in the back office on paperwork (far away from the actual homeless people). Now Naomi is the only person there who has been sentenced to complete their community service at this facility, but it seemed to others that she had gotten off easily her first day out (and she did last the entire day). Everyone else had to wash dishes and keep the place clean. Oh and Naomi is so committed to her community service that she wants her new “friends” to join her at her charity fashion show last week.

But my question is will this be the thing that transforms the notorious model from a sometimes dangerous diva to a pussycat? I hope so but I’m not sure if this is the moment that is going to change Naomi Campbell’s life. Your thoughts?

Naomi used to be on my bedroom wall and someone I looked up to when I was in highschool.I even got the Chinese bob haircut back in 1990. I was so proud of her. While I am still happy for all of her success,I think that something is missing for her and she’s deeply troubled. There’s dome deep spiritual work that needs to be done. I’m praying for her wellness and all of us praying children should.

I hear you Adrienne. I want Naomi to find peace away from the spotlight (it won’t be there forever).
