Not many of women of color made it up to the stage at Sunday’s 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards but at least someone that looks like us got a lot of face time. Yes, Alfre Woodard’s baby girl, Mavis Spencer, exuded elegance for the three hours that she stood and handed out statuettes. I’m sure her mamma (and dad) are beaming with pride. Here’s hoping the honor of being on stage turns into some roles where we actually get to see her act.
