Mya. Aaron. Donny. The three stars broke away from the pack Monday night, each delivering electric performances. But it was Mya’s jive that stole the show, as she dazzled the audience with both her performance chops and the flawless technique of the show’s professional dancers. Her performance earned a high score from the judges, including the praise of special guest judge Baz Luhrmann of “Moulin Rouge” fame.
On last night’s results show, Kathy Ireland and her partner Tony Dovolani were eliminated. As the competition gets under way, the frontrunners and the underdogs are taking their places. A high caliber performance like Mya’s so early in the season is a rarity. Just imagine how dynamic she will become with more training. It will be exciting to watch her evolution.
