File this under the never-ending story. Just when we thought the Kwame Kilpatrick Detroit mess was behind us comes word that his co-defendent Christine Beatty turned down the deal offered to her today. That means this whole riduculous mess will cost the Motor City that much more money when this whole thing goes to trial.
According to the Detroit Free Press Kilpatrick’s former flame thinks that 150 days and $125,000 in restitution to the city is “unreasonable.” So she’ll be back in court later this week for pretrial stuff. Is she crazy? Or does she know something that is going to get her off? Because I think that everyone who has had to witness this scandal has very little sympathy or patience left.
I, for one am just ready for this whole sorted mess to be done.

Well bottom line her ass is going to jail. I don’t know how better she think a trial is going to be for her but, she’s going to pay. I can’t wait to see it.

The Mayor was in a position of authority over her, he abused his authority and obtained sexual favors from her, at a time when she was a political appointee whose livelihood depended on the whim of the Mayor, and the Mayor’s misconduct resulted in adverse employment action being taken against her, i.e. arrested, charged, etc.
That is the definition of sexual harassment.
This is a true sexual harassment case and I think Christine Beatty should sue the city, county, and the Mayor for sexual harassment and back pay that should be owed her. I’m a white suburban woman and I’m sick over what is happening to Christine Beatty.

GOOD WOMEN SHOULD BE CAREFUL OF MEN LIKE “kilpatrick”. SHE WAS NOT SEXUALLY HARRASSED. SHE KNEW WHAT SHE WAS DOING; SHE NEVER TOOK THE TIME TO THINK ABOUT HIS “WIFE” OR WHAT EMBARRASSMENT IT COULD BRING? MEN IN THESE POSITIONS THINK THEY ARE “GOD’S GIFT TO EVERY WOMAN”. THEY ARE OFTEN ARROGANT, AND NEVER WRONG IN THEIR OWN EYES, BUT THEY ARE FLAT OUT LIARS AND CHEATS! AND WOMEN WHO INDULGE IN THESE TYPES OF RELATIONSHIPS ARE “TRASH”. SHE DESERVES TO BE LOCKED UP WITH CRIMINALS; SHE VIOLATED THE SISTERHOOD!
