Can I just say one word? Maxwell! I believe I can say this because I’ve been on the Maxwell train since he premiered his quintessential song “Ascension” back in 1996. He introduced folks to an eclectic sound all the way down to an eccentric style. He kept up this bohemian look that made women swoon. He did cut his curly untamed Afro, which was essentially his trademark, but he changed the minds of others who thought the hair was all he had when he made the biggest comeback of 2009. Since his ‘fro, he has cut off those lovely locks of his, and transformed into what we would call a clean-cut guy. Let’s take a look and his journey.
Maxwell1- This is what the world fell in love with. Here he is, and he’s as real and raw as they get. He’s wearing an unbuttoned, leather shirt.
Though he looks nothing like this anymore, he still gave us Maxwell. As you can see in most of his earlier photos, he presents a uniqueness and ethereal look. A fashion forward king in the making!
Now flash-forward to this debonair man posing with singer, Monica, in a casual gray suit.
He then shows a comfortable look in a plaid long sleeve shirt with fashionably large bifocal glasses. However, comfy seems to be an understatement for Maxwell, because he always seems so relaxed in whatever he wears.
Take this fit with him wearing jeans, nice colored black shirt over a hunter green leather jacket. His recent album “BLACKsummers’ night”, has earned him six nominations for the 2010 Grammy Awards! This is definitely his year, and we see you Maxwell!
