I’ve always admired Alicia Keys because she’s an artist who doesn’t need a whole lot of bells and whistle (or collaborators) to make an impact. And she does it again with “Elements of Freedom”($9.99). Her only collaboration come from the same household that spawned “Empire State of Mind” but this time instead of Jay-Z it’s Beyoncé who partners with Keys on “Put It In A Love Song”. Matters of the heart are a central theme from “Love is Blind” to “Love Is Disease” and “Trying to Sleep With A Broken Heart” but don’t fear that Keys will bring you down because love doesn’t always go right. There’s always beauty in her songs.
