Okay in what I am dubbing the final installment of g the ‘Detroit Files’—great products I found at the Black Enterprise Entrepreneurs Conference—I am dedicated this post to those with little ones in their lives. Cute Beltz, which was started by Kristen Ford-Stevens last year, was created to help kids (12 months to 6 years-old) keep their pants up. Born out of a need to keep her own children’s clothes from slipping Ford-Stevens has combined a fashionable flair and practicality (velcro-closures) that results with a line that boys, girls and moms and aunties will love. My favorite: the Fruit Splash Girlz Belt ($14). This is just proof positive that it’s never too early to accesorize.
