The American Music Awards usually offers a mixed bag of entertainment—and this year was no different. While there were some great performances, there were also a bunch that made you want to grab your pillow and take a nap. But the attire is always entertaining. Last night, the sisters show up dressed as winners (well mostly). Here, some of the standouts on the Red Carpet where black seemed to be the overriding theme (with one notable exception).

The fabulous singer, woman, mom, Toni Braxton has been on my mind this week. It seemed that everywhere I went people were talking about her. She struck a pose on the red carpet last night at the “VH1 Divas” concert that was taking place at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. But even more than seeing her here, I am totally in awe of her with her son in the new Autism Speaks Ad Council Spot. Way to make us think…bravo.

Tonight, those of you who watch reality tv will be glued to your sets for the three night premiere of Dancing With the Stars. Among the celebrity dancers will be six-time Grammy winner, Toni Braxton.
