Kimora Lee Simmons went back to her roots last night. The Baby Phat designer joined Robin Roberts, Regina King and Raven-Symone as models in the Heart Truth’s Red Dress Collection 2010 Runway show in Bryant Park. So glad that this annual event is part of Fashion Week because we all need to remember that heart disease among women (especially us) is no joke.

It’s rare that we spot Kimora Lee Simmons out without her main squeeze, Djimon Hounsou, (or her daughters) but it looks like the Baby Phat designer was solo in the city at the 2009 Emery Awards—which honors individuals who provide supportive environments for young people regardless of their sexual orientation. But a fierce cause requires a an appearance by the lady who lives in the Fab Lane.

Kimora Lee Simmons’ reality show “Life in the Fab Lane” may be a thing of the past but from the looks of things her life is going extremely well. She was out over the weekend with daughters Ming Lee and Aoki Lee and main squeeze Djimon Hounson. The quartet took in “Shrek: The Musical”. Looks like baby boy Kenzo Lee Hounsou had to sit out this family outing.
