Oscar winner Halle Berry knows she can get the paparazzi to fall all over each other simply by showing up. Last night, she used that power for good by hosting “An Evening of Awareness” for the Jenesse Center at the Crosby Street Hotel in New York City. Berry is the national spokesperson for the organization which helps families who’ve been the victims of domestic violence. Just a reminder that her work with this group is one of the reason’s she’ll be feted with the Sherry Lansing Leadership Award next month at The Hollywood Reporter’s shindig celebrating women in Hollywood.

We’ve seen lots of her (looking quite fabulous every time), we’ve heard her sing with Jay-Z and Kanye on “Run This Town” but in-depth interviews have been scarce until now. Timed closely with the release of her new album, “Rated R” which comes out November 23rd, the Bajan songstress did a sit-down with 20/20 and Good Morning America —which airs Thursday and Friday—as well as with women’s glossy Glamour, which hits stands November 10th. The magazine named her one of their Women of the Year (along with the FLOTUS). Read the full story

Robin Givens came out to support the National Domestic Violence Hotline and Marshalls yesterday in conjunction with Domestic Violence Awareness month. Given Robin’s unfortunate history with former husband, Mike Tyson, she knows all too well of what she speaks. But she got out safely and perhaps will serve as a beacon of hope to those who find themselves in an untenable situation of their own.
