Jennifer Hudson has kept a pretty low profile and that’s understandable. But now she’s back on the scene in a big way. Last night she attended The Whitney Museum Gala in New York City. And then there’s that beautiful portrait of mom and baby in this week’s People. So happy to see Jennifer with a smile on her face.

For months, rumors have persisted that singer/actress Jennifer Hudson and her fiancé David Otunga are expecting their first child. (Speculation got even more fierce when she cancelled a few concert dates due to a mysterious ailment.) Today, The Chicago Tribune  reports that friends and family gathered for a secret baby shower this weekend. So says JHud’s friend Felicia Field. But why is Field talking to the press anyway?
