As I mentioned previously, I haven’t really been glued to my television watching The Winter Olympics. But that doesn’t mean by I can’t be inspired by Olympic style or maybe a better analogy might be “Percy Jackson & The Olympians:The Lightening Thief” (which, believe it or not, I really want to see). Anyway, no matter what inspired me, I heart this hammered metal Olympian Cuff $38 from Anthropologie. A great accent piece for any sleeveless dress or top.

So I don’t think I’ll be able to put this off much longer…it’s time for a hat. And when those cold days come one often has to make a choice between function and fashion. But I won’t this year if I get this Topiary Hat ($78). It easily combines a close fitting felt shape with a stylish embellishments— a bouquet of sculpted petals. I never thought I’d say this but bring on the cold!

This beautiful candle reminds of those look but don’t touch (or God forbid) use things in the house like guest towels. But the good thing about Illume’s Glacial Jars ($32) is that these fragrant treats are made to be burned. And you can keep the jar to stash some essentials on your vanity after all the wax is gone. I’m partial to the richer aromas like Kashmir and Amber Glow but you can’t go wrong with any of them.

Most of us only think about our bathmats when we’re getting in and out of the tub or shower (or when ours is so shoddy that we need a new one). But being intentional about adding a pop of color, whimsy, or style can make your daily rituals all the more enjoyable. I have my eye on Anthropologie’s Isola Bella Bathmat ($38-$48) because it is reminiscent of intricate Italian tile woven into functional, absorbent cotton. Plus feeling like you’re in Positano for a few minutes never hurt a sister.

When I saw this Anthropologie.com Fluidity Necklace $138 it immediately reminded me of my mother. She was the Queen of statement accessories believing you should distinguish yourself with the biggest, boldest, funkiest pieces you can find. And this necklace certainly fits the bill with its great color and graphic lines. Perfect with a simple, strapless dress.

I really like votive candles because they’re an inexpensive way to add ambience. While they definitely work well alone, it’s also nice when can evoke a new mood with a simple candle holder. These Juice Glass Votive Holders ($10 each) from Anthropologie are the perfect answer. Choose from grape, tangerine or kiwi to give your room some flavor.
