Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre has done a lot of great things to celebrate its 50th anniversary this year. Some of the highlights included a performance of one of their signature pieces “Revelations” at Harlem’s historic Abyssinian Baptist Church during Sunday service and an exhibit highlighting the dance company’s history at The Library of Congress Galleryin Washington, DC. They will partner with Wynton Marsalis and Jazz at Lincoln during their legendary run at City Center in December. Read the full story
