We already know that Hollywood is good at recycling ideas and sometimes that’s a good thing. But other times, a bad remake can have you shaking your head in disbelief. Here’s a list of remakes that worked and other that didn’t translate the formula so well the second time around.
Far From Heaven

I didn't even know that this Dennis Haysbert, Julianna Moore drama featuring an interracial romance was a remake of "All That Heaven Allows" which features Rock Hudson and Jane Wyman. Both are worth watching since elements of the story change once race becomes a part of the equation.
