Jermaine Jackson was so sure that he and his brothers (including Michael) were going to reunite next year for a tour that he announced it to some reporters in Australia. I guess he should have checked with Michael first because he has no intentions of either recording or touring with Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon and Randy next year or anytime thereafter. This other part of the statement he released Thursday also mentioned his plans to record his own project. Since disgraced sprinter Marion Jones got out of jail last month (after serving almost her entire sentence), she’s been flying under the radar. Today, she’ll emerge to tell Oprah all about how she came to be in this predicament. According to The Guardian, Jones will get quite teary-eyed while she explains how she decided to lie about her drug use when she was initially questioned by Olympic officals. (I wonder how much her ex-boyfriend Tim Montgomery influenced that decision). She will also says that she found herself in this situation because she didn’t love herself enough. Really? There is no doubt that George W. Bush is a lame duck President waiting for his administration to be over. So is the rest of the country. While the soon-to-be-former President will probably grab Laura and head back to the ranch in Crawford, TX, those who still work in his administration have to figure out what their next move will be. Jazmine Sullivan has definitely got a hot song in Need U Bad and she’s definitely getting some attention. But this 21-year-old singer is going to have to find a better way to stand out from the crowd if she is going to make it. I saw her a few weeks ago when she opened for Maxwell at Radio City Music Hall and she didn’t exactly bowl me over. She had lots of energy and sang with a lot of passion but I don’t think she connected well with the audience. She has a voice but I am not sure whether it’s the music she’s singing or a because she doesn’t have an image per se that she sort of falls flat. I didn’t even connect her with Need U Bad until she sang it towards the end of her set. Read the full story

When I heard that Jennifer Hudson’s mother and brother were slain in the family’s Chicago home on Friday, I was hoping it was a vicious rumor. Unfortunately, we all know this is not the case. What makes this tragedy even more heartbreaking is that police may have just found the body of her nephew, Julian King (who is just 7 years old) who has also been missing since Friday.
